Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System (ISEGS) is currently the largest power plant project of its kind in the world. The solar thermal power plant uses BrightSource Energy’s LPT solar thermal technology and it is comprised of three separate plants built in phases between 2010 and 2013. The facility started commercial operation in 2013 delivering enough solar electricity to provide for 140,000 household daily during the peak hours of the day.
